Labels

What are Labels?

Insert text and media on a course page in between links to resources and activities.

Labels are very versatile and can help to improve the appearance of a course, and organize course content.

What are Labels for?

Labels may be used to:

  • Split up a long list of activities with a subheading or an image

  • Display an embedded sound file or video directly on the course page

  • Add a short description to a course section

Labels can be used to add text and images to sections.

Usually it’s used to show the information of the course, like the professor’s name, office, email and contact number.

Labels are something that unclickable.

Also, you can create labels like Readings / Resources if you have a bunch of readings or resources that you want to list on your Moodle course page.

Labels can also be used to categorize topics, activities and resources in your Moodle course. Remember to bold the font while you edit the Labels.

Make your moodle course page more readable:

After dragging the files you want to put below the labels, remember to click Edit, then choose Move to the right in the scroll down list.
