What is Group self-selection?

Allow students to join a group in the course.

 

Instructors must specify which groups are available for the activity, and can place a limit on the number of members in each group.

 

Note: You must create the groups and add them to a grouping before creating the Group Self-selection activity.

What is Group self-selection for?

This is useful for having students sign up for team activities or assignment topics.

( The red construction zone means that the current count of the group is below the minimum members per group you set when you set up the activity.)

Students can create groups/ Students can set the name of new groups/Student can set the description of new groups/Students can set password for joining groups:

You even can set whether students can create their own groups and/ or set a password for joining the groups.
