How to Import/Restore Moodle Activities or Resources from One Course to Another
1) Prepare items to copy
Why
The Import tool requires you to import each Section containing an item you want to copy, and will merge those Sections into the Sections already in your target course. Before you select the items to copy, we recommend you duplicate the items and move them into an unused Section at the bottom of the course you are copying from. Importing only the section containing duplicated items will make it easy to find the copied content and will prevent any unwanted content.
How
Step 1: Open the course you will copy item(s) from.
Step 2: Click Turn editing on in Navigation bar.
Step 3: At the bottom of the course page, click the Increase the number of sections button ( ) to create a new Section. You will use this section to hold duplicates of the items you wish to copy.

Step 4: For each item you wish to copy, click Edit, then select Duplicate. Duplicate resources or activities appear immediately below the original.

Step 5: Drag the new Duplicate items into the new section you just added in step 3.
Attention: If the course you are copying from is in use, to avoid confusion for your students, you should hide the Section you created for the duplicate items.
