What is Checklist?
Create a to-do list for students to work through, and provide an easy visual representation of what has been accomplished so far.
What is Checklist for?
With a Checklist, teachers can monitor progress as students complete items on the list, and students can see a progress bar showing the percentage of the items they have completed.
The Moodle Checklist has a number of useful features, including:

List of items students should complete, with the option to include course activities and resources

Progress bar that shows what percentage of the list a student has completed so far

Option for students and/or teachers to check-off items

Students adding private items and notes to a checklist

Due dates for checklist items
Checklist setup
Settings:

User can add their own items
You can choose whether students can add on their own items in the checklist you created [1].
Add due dates to calendar
Whether to show due dates for checklist in students’ Calendar block [2].
Teachers can add comments
Whether you can comment on it [3].
Email when checklist is complete
Whether you and/or students want to get the email notification when the checklist is complete [4].
Show course modules in checklist
This will automatically add a list of all the resources and activities in the current course into the checklist.
This list will be updated with any changes in the course, whenever you visit the 'Edit' page for the checklist.
Items can be hidden from the list, by clicking on the 'hide' icon beside them.
To remove the automatic items from the list, change this option back to 'No', then click on 'Remove course module items' on the 'Edit' page.

Teacher view:

Step 1: After Checklist setup, click on the Checklist activity you just set up on your Moodle course page. Then click on Edit checklist below the Checklist’s name. [1]
Step 2: Put the name of the project into the block behind the small green checkbox. You can also add a link in Link to blank space. [2]
Step 3: Then press Enter or click the Add button. It will show up above. [3]
Student view:


If you choose Yes in Checklist setup Allow User add their own items, students will see the Add your own items button once they click on the Checklist activity link, e.g: students added items shown as purple.
