What is Chat?
Chat is like a real chatting tool of Moodle, a real chatting room in your Moodle course, where participants exchange text-based messages in real-time synchronous discussions.
What is Chat for?

Sessions to help students prepare for tests where the teacher or other students pose sample questions

A question and answer session with an invited speaker from a different location

Meetings of students participating in a group activity, to allow the group to communicate outside of class

A student temporarily unable to attend in-person chatting with a TA, teacher or classmate to catch up with work.

Students engaged in community learning getting together to discuss their experiences with each other and their teacher.
